My boss, an enthusiastic outdoorsman, and very gentle fellow comes to work one day with a black eye and puffy face. I ask him what happened, he explains that there was a fist fight at the annual general meeting of his Hunt.

Apparently, there was a member who had recently split from his wife. They had just married and had had their first child. Unfortunately for their marriage, the child was born Chinese. Both husband and wife in this instance being Caucasian. This chap didn't discover this until the child was born, whereupon his wife confessed to committing an act of desperate passion on the floor of a Chinese chip shop with one of the staff during her hen night (bachelorette).

My boss was injured in the fracas that erupted after one of the members of the Hunt decided that four months after the fact was long enough and that he could crack a joke about it during his speech to the assembled members of the Hunt.

He claimed afterward that George had no sense of humor.

#14 He Did Not Take That Well

I had been dating him for almost a year. Things were getting pretty serious and we had talked about moving in together. On a rare evening where I returned to my own apartment after an ironically awesome date night, I opened up the ol' laptop to find a myspace (hey, this was years ago) message from a girl I'd never met. Long message short, she's been sleeping with my boyfriend under the impression that we had an open relationship. She says that after looking at my myspace page she had a feeling that was not true. She attached some of their email exchanges and it was clearly him. I called him to confront him and after some brief denial, he starts to cry and apologize. I tell him to kindly get lost, throw the phone, and proceed to the kitchen to demolish a bottle of adult beverages.

Fast forward half an hour or so and he shows up. Doesn't knock, just comes in and finds me in the kitchen. He begs and pleads for forgiveness and I'm not hearing it. You could see the crazy eyes switch on at this point. He reaches behind me and grabs a chef's knife out of the block. Starts saying that he can't live without me and that whatever happens to him at this point is on me if I refuse to take him back. I manage to stand my ground and he leaves (with my roommate's knife. She's still upset).

I call the police and while they're taking the report I get a suicide note via text message. I show it to the cop and they go on their way. About an hour later (we're talking 2 am at this point) the cop comes back and says, "we found him. I don't know anything about his condition other than he's alive." Son of a gun had drove into the bay. He ended up fine. Admitted for a few days to the psych ward. Cue craziness and stalking for a while. He finally disappeared from my life for good in an unrelated incident when he was arrested for attempting to pay for hanky-panky with a minor.

My friend and her boyfriend were engaged. She fell pregnant they got a house together she gave up her dreams of university happily for them both and the child.

I went away with the family the day after my boyfriend and I had shared the "I love you" date, he said it first. I wake up the next morning to three texts, one describing his mistake (some random chick at a party), one saying I was too good for him, and the last saying we should see other people.

Flash forward to New Years he calls me and we talk on the phone for hours by the end of it I get under the influence and agree to meet up with him later in the month. We hang out and kind of click back to how we were before. He tells me he's leaving the country in two weeks...

#11 Some People Have No Soul

A girl I'm friends with (who regularly lectures me about how I treat girls) is the worst person in the world for this.

She's pretty, but she craves attention. If her boyfriend isn't giving her maximum attention then she starts looking elsewhere, but she manages to find some way to blame her boyfriend for it.

She was living with a guy I know and apparently their romantic life wasn't great. She was struggling for money a little bit (her own fault though) and he was paying her rent, in the end, I think she owed him close to £1000. She started being romantic with other people, a LOT of other people. Quite often in their bed while she would engineer a fight and ban him from the house for that night. Then she was getting flirty with a member of a band on Twitter, everybody could see this guy basically being cuckolded by his live-in girlfriend, it was horrendous. Obviously, she ended up being romantic with him too.

The worst one, however, was when she organized a local gig and booked a guy who her boyfriend HATED to play. I mean he really despised him. She asked her boyfriend to work on the door and he refused at first, but eventually, he relented and said he would.

While her boyfriend was working on the door, she was romantic this guy in the bathrooms, bareback, as some kind of petty revenge. Awful.

I got talking to a woman on public transport randomly, just normal polite chit-chat before she turned to me with a grave look and said: "my husband had an affair." I apologized because I didn't really know how else to respond. She told me, of the 12 years they had been married he'd been seeing someone else for 7. They had three kids 17, 13 and 6.

The woman he'd been seeing was his best friend, she was a huge part of their lives. Their oldest son's Godmother and she had Sunday lunch with them all almost every week.

#9 Well, That Got Pretty Complicated

When my dad was about 20, his mom (mum-mum) had a gut feeling my grandpop was cheating on her. She's the sweetest lady that ever existed, so she didn't feel it was right to spy on him to find out. Luckily for her, my mom's mom (Nanny) was perfectly fine with spying on him. So Nanny did some tracking here and there and found out that he had been meeting some lady in the park every few days and getting into her car. So Nanny goes over to my Mum-Mum and picks her up and takes her to the park to show her. They watch my grandpop get out of his car, into the strangers and IT'S ON! They march up to the car to find him eating cake...literally. He was furious they were following him, they had a big blow up, etc.

He had been sleeping with this lady too, but her main purpose was cooking meals for him. That's why they'd been meeting in the park. She'd bring him a plate of food, he'd eat, then go home. They got divorced and years down the road, after I was born, my mom caught my dad being romantic with her brother's wife (my aunt by marriage) only a few months after my uncle had passed away. His excuse? She cooked for him and my mom never wanted to. So now my former aunt is my step-mom, my cousins are now my siblings and it's really tough to explain to people that no incest took place.

My parents have been divorced since I was 3, so it's normal to me now, but yeah...that's my bad cheating story.

#8 This One May Take The Cake

I knew this girl who took the prize home. She gets married to my buddy right after graduating High School. He joins the military, goes off for training, she starts messing around on him with this one guy. Then, she breaks it off with the guy she was messing around with to start messing around some more with his older brother.

My buddy is still getting trained here, making bank all the while (and she's spending it as fast as he can earn it). She stops messing around with the older brother, steps up to their father! Now she's messing around with the father, he talks her into becoming an exotic dancer at the bar he worked at, and she gets up on stage for all of us to see. Some nights, he brought her and other girls home for big romantic times. All the while married to my buddy, who dropped her finally as soon as he came home.

My ex-boyfriend insisted we stay together freshman year of college though I went to a small state school and he went to a school 4000 miles away. One of my old friend's wife's cheated on him numerous times, one day she said she was leaving him for another man. Turned out the person she was going to leave him for said he was only interested in her for physical romance and didn't want any more to do with her. She then went back to my friend and made him apologize to her so she would get back with him. He did and they are still together. I don't know if she still cheats as I don't speak to them anymore.

A friend and I were working one day (it was while I worked at a gas station) and neither of us was that great with customer service, but it was a nice day and we were in good moods. This woman came in and my buddy asked how her day was. Such a mistake.
